  WINDOWS CLM SETUP

1) INSTALL
	CLM installation will be started by setup.exe. Dialogs will be displayed in the following order:
 
	- Welcome dialog displays the CLM version to be installed. Upon clicking the Next button and accepting the end user license 
	  agreement (EULA) setup continues installation.
	- Select Destination Location dialog displays default installation path "C:\Program Files\Licensing\License Manager\" as 
	  installation path. To change installation path, click Browse and browse the installation directory. Click Next to continue 
	  installation.
	- License Management Configuration dialog is displayed to allow user to configure port settings. Three fields, HTTP,   
	  HTTPS and Shutdown ports, are displayed with default values. It is recommended to use the default port numbers. Please 
	  see release notes for explanation of the ports.
	- Ready to Install Program dialog is displayed to complete the installation with specified configurations. Click Install 
	  button to complete installation.
	- Installing License Management dialog is displayed during the installation and informs about the installation status.
	- When installation was finished, the dialog Completing the License Management Setup Wizard is displayed and installation 
	  is completed.


2) UPGRADE
	Start setup.exe in order to update CLM. It will detect if an older version of CLM is already installed and updates it. 


3) UNINSTALL
	In order to uninstall CLM run unins000.exe located in CLM installation folder. 
	- When unins000.exe file is double-clicked, License Manager Uninstall dialog will be displayed. Confirm the un installation 
	  by pressing Yes.


4) MANUAL START/STOP OF CLM (IF NECESSARY)
	The CLM is a service running in the background serving your browser. This service starts automatically when your system 
	starts. It is also possible to start, stop, and restart the service manually. In order to do this user will open 
	Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. In the services list License Manager is displayed. 
	The user can start / stop / restart CLM via the icons on the toolbar or right clicking on the License Manager.


5) IMPORTANT HINTS
	- Please use the supported CLM and CLA versions (see the Release Summary on HLM homepage: 
	  https://enterprise-businessarea.siemens.com/hlm/home/HLM_Support/Support_Download_Area.aspx).
	- The default ports are:
		o 8818 for HTTPS
		o 8819 for HTTP
		o 8820 for Tomcat shutdown
	- Please do not use the following characters in the installation path: #  % ! < > | ? *
	- If the firewall is applied, required ports have to be opened for access.
	- Konqueror Browser: The local browser for Linux system, Konqueror, is not supported.
	- In case of CLM does not respond to the browser after upgrade, please restart CLM (/etc/init.d/clm restart).
	- To guarantee correct installation of CLM, please ensure
		o an IP address is configured for ETH0, or
		o the hostname can be resolved via 'host' command (a nameserver is configured in/etc/resolv.conf), or
		o the command 'traceroute <hostname>' can be executed to get the IP address of the system, or
		o any combination of above requirements
	- "Setup Log %date%".txt file is generated in %temp% directory for keeping log of installation and update operations in Windows 
	  Platforms.


6) LICENSE AGREEMENT
	The license agreement is stored in the file license.txt which is shipped with the software. You are not allowed to install 
	and use this software if you do not agree to the license agreement of the components included by the product.
